I wasn't trying to do a realistic bat of any particular species, just scribbling something batlike on the paper. This was done on blue Artagain paper, and colored with Prismacolor marker and white acrylic paint pen.

Wow. I really like this. It's got a lot of cool textures and colors going on. The composition is nice, also.
Cool purple foxbat. I especially like the bug in front to give it some depth. Very cool. Looks almost stained glass-ish.
Great colors, they're definitely affiliated with 'bats', at least for me. I especially like the way you did the wings, and the little bug.
