Wow. These are awesome. Is this a character of yours already or did he come from scratch? I really like the stone effect. I'll have to pick your brain sometime and figure that one out. Nicely done.
Kennon: I came up with the character today actually, but the idea is about a year old. I drew a female version of this type of cyborg and saw this as a perfect opportunity to do more. I'll go ahead and add the old one to my post.
As for the stone effect- the whole painting is just a bunch of dodging and burning over a photo of concrete and incorporating some of the natural texture into the drawing. This technique is soooo forgiving and simple, the whole thing took about an hour and a half, (on and off throughout the day) from start to finish.
