Lusius, Cyborg Saint

...And another version of the same guy (you'll notice some design differences). Here's how I did it.

The second sketch (and the idea, really) was based on an older drawing I did about a year ago...

Kennon: I came up with the character today actually, but the idea is about a year old. I drew a female version of this type of cyborg and saw this as a perfect opportunity to do more. I'll go ahead and add the old one to my post.

As for the stone effect- the whole painting is just a bunch of dodging and burning over a photo of concrete and incorporating some of the natural texture into the drawing. This technique is soooo forgiving and simple, the whole thing took about an hour and a half, (on and off throughout the day) from start to finish.; April 4, 2007 at 7:41:00 PM CST
