TIki Madness!

If any of you folks out there are in the Chicago area this weekend, I'll have a piece in DVA Gallery's third annual tiki show. The opening party is this Saturday, June 23rd from 4pm-11pm. It should be a good time. There have been rumors of Polynesian dancers, tiki beverages and Polynesian food. I'll be there for the party. Come check it out and say hi!

*UPDATE*- The opening went really well. It was a lot of fun. Also, I just got an e-mail letting me know that my painting sold! Woohoo!

My Hero, Jackson Publick: creator, writer, artist, and voice actor for the Venture Brothers. I think he's pretty super. Not only is he incredibly talented in a wide range of areas, but he also busts his ASS to make by far the best show on television. I kind of like him. Okay, I like him a lot.

Is everyone busy?

Seems like it. Even me damnit hehe. Here is my She-Ra... This one is set in the distant future of her world, you are looking at her great granddaughter, Megan Ra. The world is currently being ravaged by a techno virus orginated by the Computer AI known as S.K.E.L.E.T.O.R. The coming of the virus has brought the world into a realm of chaos.

Meg, grand daughter of She-Ra, has found her destiny while scavenging in her old ancestral home. Will it be enough to stop the evil S.K.E.L.E.T.O.R.???

Topic for week 6/12/2007

Well since we had such a great time with the awesome Wizard of Oz, I thought another reimaging week might be fun.

I had already decided something earlier, but since I know everyone is super busy this week, I decided to go with something that will be quicker to work on. So this week, I want everyone to redesign...

Mr. Incredible. He's one of my favorite heroes. I appreciate a super hero that enjoys the occasional midnight snack after rescuing folks from a burning building. A hero with a gut is a hero I can identify with!

I decided to do a Little Ghosties parody of Heroes. If you don't watch it, well you don't get the joke... so eat it. Eat it hard and nasty. And you will get fat... if you eat it... eat it hard and nasty... hooray!

OK folks, the topic this week is heroes. It can be a real life hero, a super hero, a hero you made up. It can be a group of heroes. Heck, it can even be people from the TV show Heroes. Just give us heroic people. No drawing restrictions. Go nuts. Have fun.

By the strictest definition Iron Man is a cyborg. I can hardly wait to see Robert Downey Jr. play Tony Stark next summer!
