Nick

Nick, originally uploaded by manlyartjpc.

This was my dog Nick. I had to have him put to sleep a few years ago. It about killed me. I still miss him. He was quite possibly the most awesome dog ever. We think he was part lab, part whippet. A rugby buddy of mine found him on the side of the highway in Alabama as a puppy and gave him to me a couple of years later when he moved to England to play rugby there. Taking that dog was one of the best things I've ever done. I miss you buddy.

Von Peake — Self Portrait

Space Ape

Space Ape, originally uploaded by manlyartjpc.

In the year 3045, a mad scientist discovers my perfectly frozen body in a glacier and decides to give Mother Nature a genetic slap in the face. He will unleash the Merciless Space Ape upon the Universe! Little does he know that the Space Ape really just wants to sit at home, read a good book, and get caught up on the last 1,000 years of movies. Maybe do some grilling. Have some friends over.

well, i hope that we all had a great summer! i know it wasn't long enough for me but, hey thats what happens when you grow up right?

so welcome back to the blog. we will be changing a few things up over the next few weeks. some great things to come.

as for the first topic of the new season: seeing as we are returning from a "short commercial break" and i have always loved cereal commercials lets see your box design, character design, or any other ad-type ideas for your favorite kids cereal. it can be one of your faves from back in the day, a new one that your kids love, or makeup your own cereal!

sorry for the delay on the post, but hey here it is!
let's draw!

They did the mash...it was a Monster Mash

Art for the week

Looks like the blog is going to take a hiatus for a few weeks, that way everyone who is a part of it can get caught up with their own work and we can come back at this like a bunch of art badass super pirates. But, since there was a topic for the week, I still drew something up for it. So here you go, my weird dark western image.
